Concrete Mutant is a project founded by Jason Vincion in late 2006. He wanted to explore a claustrophobic sound using metal instrumentation, industrial beats, screaming, and roaring. He also had the idea to do all of this while sounding as if the music was recorded in an abandoned warehouse or factory.

A seven-track demo and a handful of original songs, covers, and video game covers were recorded before the project fell to the wayside in the spring of 2007. The project was resurrected a little over two years later in the summer of 2009, thus the title of the song on the Avalanche compilation, "Resurrection". Jason expects to continue on with this project for some time to come, with a full-length arriving sometime in early-mid 2010.
