Metonym are an Ambient Pop duo, Frazer and Hali (Tread Softly), who met through a love of music and the hating of hair straighteners, whilst studying music technology at Huddersfield university. Inspired by a range of artsists, from Errors, Metronomy and Engine7 to Jesu and Mare, their unique blend of driving acoustic guitar and flowing synthesized melodies and pads gives them a distinguishing sound.
